Full Stack DeveloperBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Java Developer for an opportunity in Plano, TX (Hybrid)! Position Title: Full Stack Java Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) Anticipated Start Date: Tentative Start Date Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 06 months contract to hire Job Type: Contract, [Hybrid/On-Site] Pay Range: [$41] to [$46] Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality Build Microservices that will run on AWS public cloud platform Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, develop functionality and automation Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills BS in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent experience, 4-6 years of software engineering experience with Core Java 8 plus Streams, Multithreading, Collections, and Exception handling mechanism. Strong knowledge of Spring Boot framework, and REST API design principles and best practices Experience with microservices architecture, and cloud-native application development, hands-on experience developing in AWS Cloud Platform Experience writing streaming applications with Apache Kafka or similar messaging technology Good understanding of DevOps principles and Continuous Integration and Delivery Strong understanding of SDLC, TDD and BDD, proficient writing unit, functional and integration automated tests. Experience using Jenkins, SonarQube, GIT, and Maven Proficient in working with relational and NoSQL databases, experience with Containers (Docker) and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platform Must have - 4-6 years of hands on experience on below technologies * Java 8 /11, Spring boot framework and REST API/Kafka * AWS ( hands on experience) * Experience with distributed databases like AWS RDS databases * Strong/excellent communication skills - Must have certification Developer or Solutions Architect Level AWS Certification Nice to have - React - Experience with any of these Observability tools: Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Grafana Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
